Spread Eagle Inn, Sawley

The Spread Eagle is a coaching inn in Sawley, beside the River Ribble and the ruins of Sawley Abbey, run as part of Robinsons' Individual Inns. Its Abbey Suite holds a civil ceremony licence and seats up to 90 for the ceremony and the wedding breakfast, with up to 120 guests in the evening. A smaller Sawley Suite suits groups of up to 24. Food comes from the inn's own kitchen, with buffet and private dining menus that can be tailored. The inn has 11 en-suite bedrooms and describes itself as dog friendly. Published packages include a Twilight Wedding for 70 guests from £3,895 in 2026 and £3,995 in 2027, and a Whirlwind Romance package at £5,995 for late 2026 dates. Couples can use the courtyard, riverside areas and abbey ruins for photographs.
